What a Cheap Reservation System Really Costs: Every Price We Could Verify in Czechia

Search for a cheap reservation system and you will find almost no prices. Vendors write about features, about hospitality, about growing your covers. Then the pricing page says "Ask for a quote" or "Book a demo", and you are in a sales call before you know whether you can afford the thing. We think that is backwards, so this page does the opposite. It lists what every reservation system in the Czech market charges, with the vendor's own page and the date we checked it — including the places where a competitor is cheaper than us.

Every figure here came from the vendor's own pricing page on 27 August 2026. Nothing is taken from a comparison blog, and nothing is estimated. Where a company does not publish a price, the table says price not published, and that column doing its work is most of the point of the exercise. Prices move: follow the source link before you sign anything. Where a conversion is needed we use 25 CZK to the euro, a round number we used on 27 August 2026 rather than a live rate.

Start with where Stolio is not the cheapest, because that part is one click from being disproved. Rezervovač sells a Mini plan at 99 CZK a month and has a free tier at 40 reservations a month; its page states no VAT basis either way. Reservanto's Basic tier is free with unlimited reservations, and its paid Lite tier is 166 CZK ex-VAT, which is 200.86 CZK with VAT. Reservio has a free-forever plan, and its own Czech FAQ says paid plans start at 199 CZK a month ex-VAT on annual billing — 240.79 CZK with VAT. Reservatic has a free tier and charges 12 € ex-VAT for Standard, about 363 CZK a month once 21% is added. Our 499 CZK is a final price, and all four are cheaper than we are on either basis. If all you need is to put a person into a time slot, one of them is the affordable answer.

What none of those four has is a table plan. They book a name into a slot. A restaurant needs to know that the six at 19:00 goes on table 12, that table 12 seats eight at a push, that the two at 19:30 therefore cannot have it, and that the whole room has to turn at 21:00. That is a different product, and the systems that build it and publish a price — Bookio, RezervujStůl, Stolovník, Reservine, Dotykačka, DISH, Tablein and us — all cost more than 99 CZK. TheFork and OpenTable belong to the same category and publish no price at all, so we cannot tell you what they cost; nobody outside a sales call can. Check any of it on their own sites; it takes a minute, and it is why the comparison below is in two tables rather than one.

The cheapest restaurant reservation system in Czechia that publishes its price — 4,990 CZK a year, final price. We are not VAT-registered, so nothing is added on top; every competitor quotes ex-VAT. Both qualifiers in that sentence are load-bearing. "Restaurant" excludes the four appointment tools above. "Publishes its price" excludes TheFork, OpenTable and Storyous — the three systems in the table below that will not tell you what they charge without a sales conversation first.

Now the part most price comparisons hide. Our 499 CZK a month is the amount that leaves your bank account. Bookio's 480 CZK, RezervujStůl's 490 CZK and Stolovník's 5,900 CZK a year are quoted ex-VAT, so what actually leaves your account is 580.80 CZK, 592.90 CZK and 594.92 CZK a month. But if your restaurant is VAT-registered — most are, above the 2 million CZK threshold — you deduct that VAT, and then the honest monthly comparison is 480 ex-VAT against our 499 final. On that basis Bookio is 19 CZK a month cheaper than Stolio, and RezervujStůl's 490 and Stolovník's 491.67 also sit below our 499. We are not going to pretend otherwise. (Three vendors — Rezervovač, ChoiceQR and Tablein — state no VAT basis at all; the tables say so rather than guessing.)

The annual figure is the one that wins on both bases, which is why it is the one we make a claim about. Stolio is 4,990 CZK a year, final — 415.83 CZK a month. The cheapest rival annual price in the restaurant category is Dotykačka at 5,100 CZK a year ex-VAT (425 CZK a month with its 15% annual discount, and capped at 100 reservations a year on that licence), then Bookio at 5,160 CZK ex-VAT (430 CZK a month billed annually). A VAT-registered restaurant that deducts Bookio's VAT still pays 5,160 CZK against our 4,990 CZK. Count it with VAT or without it and the answer comes out the same way.

Here is the restaurant category in full. Prices are per month unless the row says otherwise, and the VAT column tells you which basis each number is on. Putting a final price next to an ex-VAT one without labelling both is exactly the misleading comparison EU price rules exist to stop.

And here are the general booking tools, the ones with no table plan. If you run a salon, a physio practice or a squash court, start here — most of them cost less than any restaurant system in the table above, including ours, though Rezervuj.com does not: its Start tier is 600 CZK ex-VAT, 726 CZK with VAT, above our 499 CZK final.

Two Czech systems charge you before you have taken a single booking. RezervujStůl charges a one-off 1,500 CZK ex-VAT for graphic customisation, on all three tiers. DISH charges a one-off activation fee of 2,297.79 CZK ex-VAT on a new reservation contract, and 8,226.79 CZK on its Premium bundle. Year one at DISH is therefore 8,388 CZK of subscription plus 2,297.79 CZK of activation — 10,685.79 CZK ex-VAT, or 12,929.81 CZK once VAT is added. Year one at Stolio is 4,990 CZK, final: under half the ex-VAT figure, and under two fifths of what a restaurant that cannot deduct VAT would pay. DISH publishes no free trial at all; RezervujStůl and Stolovník offer only an enquiry form.

Three of the systems in the table above will not tell you the price. TheFork's pricing page shows two plans, Performance and Enterprise, and an "Ask for pricing" button on both. OpenTable publishes no Czech price anywhere, and its plan pages would not load for us on 27 August 2026 in any case. Storyous — a POS, with no reservation module in its feature set — offers a demo booking and nothing else. You will find numbers for all three on comparison blogs, and you should not trust them: the ones we could check were wrong or stale. ChoiceQR's widely-quoted Czech tariffs of 990, 2,090 and 2,990 CZK no longer exist — it quotes euros now, table reservations are excluded from the free Basic plan, and the cheapest plan that includes them is Standard at 32 € a month. Restu, still listed as a competitor in Czech articles, entered liquidation in 2022 and its domains no longer resolve.

The number that matters more than the subscription is what you pay per guest. Take a restaurant doing 500 covers a month at a 600 CZK average bill: 300,000 CZK of covered revenue. Stolio charges 499 CZK, flat, whatever the volume — one koruna per cover, 0.17% of that revenue, and it does not move if you double. OpenTable works the other way round. It publishes nothing for Czechia, so the only numbers anyone can quote are from the two markets where it does publish: on opentable.de, Core is 99 € a month on a 12-month term; on opentable.it, Core is 149 € a month; both add 1.50 € per guest the OpenTable network places, and both pages were read on 27 August 2026. Neither page states whether its subscription is net or gross of VAT, so treat both as floors. To put our own terms next to theirs: OpenTable charges no setup fee and includes training and installation, and Stolio has no minimum term, no setup fee and a 14-day trial that does not ask for a card. Everything that follows is arithmetic on those published numbers — a scenario, not a bill anyone has received. Run the honest middle first. If a fifth of your 500 covers arrive through the network, that is 100 guests, 150 € of per-guest fees on top of the subscription: 249 € a month in Germany, 299 € in Italy — on subscriptions whose VAT basis the vendor does not state — or roughly 6,225 and 7,475 CZK at 25 CZK to the euro, against our 499 CZK, which is final.

The sentence worth remembering is our own: 499 CZK is one koruna a cover at 500 covers, and it is still 499 CZK at a thousand. To be fair to OpenTable, its per-guest fee applies only to guests its network finds for you — bookings from your own website, Google, social media, the phone and walk-ins are listed on its own pages as free of it, and a network that fills seats is a marketing channel rather than a tax. The difference is not that one model is dishonest. It is that you can know our number before the month starts and you cannot know theirs.

The worst case is a scenario too, and we will label it as one rather than dress it up as a bill. If every one of those 500 covers arrived through the network — which essentially never happens, because your own channels are free of the fee — the sum on OpenTable's published German and Italian numbers is 99 € plus 750 €, and 149 € plus 750 €: 849 € and 899 € a month, roughly 21,200 to 22,500 CZK, again before whatever VAT those pages leave unstated. We quote it only to show the shape of the model, and the shape is the real argument: a flat fee is a ceiling you know in advance, a per-cover fee has no ceiling and cannot be costed until the year is over. That cuts both ways honestly — a restaurant that takes few network bookings pays little commission, and at low enough volume a commission model can cost less in fees than a flat 499 CZK, though on those published prices it still starts at 99 € or 149 € a month before a single guest. And because OpenTable publishes no Czech price at all, a Czech restaurant cannot run either version of this sum on its own market's numbers.

TheFork's fee cannot be quantified, so here is the arithmetic on the unknown instead. The vendor states the fee is a percentage of your average bill per guest, charged on reservations arriving from TheFork, TripAdvisor and partner channels; bookings from your own site, Instagram and Facebook are listed as included. It does not publish the percentage anywhere, in any market, and we are not going to invent one — not even as an illustration. Two things follow without a number. On a 600 CZK bill, one percentage point is 6 CZK a cover, so 500 covers cost 3,000 CZK per point per month, and you can fill in whatever rate TheFork quotes you. And because it is a percentage of the bill rather than a fee per booking, the better the evening goes — a bigger table, a second bottle — the more that same reservation costs you. A flat 499 CZK does the opposite.

Cheap headline, expensive detail: read the caps and the add-ons before you compare. Dotykačka bundles reservations into a POS licence and caps them at 100 a year on SNADNO and 1,000 on NAPLNO — a busy restaurant is through 100 reservations in a fortnight. Tablein's 67 € Starter includes 50 reservations and charges 0.67 € for each one after that. Reservanto takes 3 to 6% on payments through its gateway depending on tier; Reservine takes 5% on online payments. SMS is nearly always extra: Reservine charges 1.50 CZK a message and Reservanto 1.10 to 1.50 CZK depending on tier, and DISH sells an SMS package at 249 CZK a month ex-VAT, 301.29 CZK with VAT. None of this is hidden — it is all on the vendors' own pages — but none of it is in the headline price either. Our side of the same list, and only the parts of it that exist: no commission on any tier, no setup fee, no minimum term, and 499 CZK that does not move with your volume. We do not offer SMS at all — on our side that is a missing feature, not a free one.

Outside Czechia we make no price claim, and it is worth saying why. Several German systems run free-forever tiers, and at least one German competitor's paid entry plan matches our 19.90 € to the cent on a net basis — which makes it the cheaper of the two for any German restaurant that deducts input VAT, because our 19.90 € is final and has no VAT to deduct. We have not re-verified the German market to the standard of the tables above, so we publish no German figures here and claim no German superlative. What stays true there is comparative rather than superlative: no commission on any plan, no setup fee, no minimum term, a 14-day trial without a card, and 19.90 € is the whole bill. We would rather write that down than defend something we cannot.
