Dotykačka and Stolio: online bookings on your till, and the till's changes back in Stolio

2026-11-01 · Integrations

Many restaurants run Dotykačka at the till and take bookings somewhere else: a paper book, the phone, a booking app. Staff then type the same booking twice, and a table booked online can still be given to guests who walk in. Since 30 October 2026, Stolio connects to Dotykačka directly. This guide explains what moves where.

What you need

Connecting

In Stolio, open Settings → Integrations → Dotykačka and connect. You sign in to Dotykačka and allow Stolio. Then you choose your branch and link each Dotykačka table to a Stolio table. Stolio suggests the links by table name.

1. Online bookings appear on the till

A booking with a table, made online by a guest or added by staff in Stolio, appears in Dotykačka as a reservation on the linked table, usually within a minute. Online bookings get a table when the guest picks one or when automatic table assignment is on; without one, a booking reaches the till once someone assigns a table. A booking more than 90 days ahead reaches the till 90 days before its date. The note on the till shows the guest's name, the party size, the phone number and the guest's note.

If the time or the table changes in Stolio, the same reservation on the till changes too. If the booking is cancelled in Stolio, it is cancelled on the till.

Tip: future bookings are listed in Dotykačka's Rezervace app. The till's table map marks a reserved table only shortly before the booking starts.

2. Changes at the till come back to Stolio

If staff cancel the reservation on the till, Stolio cancels the booking too, and the guest gets the cancellation e-mail. If staff move it to another time or table, Stolio moves it too. For a new time, the guest gets an e-mail with the change. For a booking that came from Stolio, the party size is never changed from the till.

3. Bills mark guests as seated and complete bookings

When staff open a bill on a booked table, Stolio marks the guests as seated. When the bill is paid, Stolio completes the booking and the table is free again.

4. Walk-ins: the table is not offered online

When staff open a bill on a table without a booking, Stolio stops offering that table online for the coming hours and keeps this up while the bill stays open. In the Stolio floor plan the table is marked “Bill open in Dotykačka”. The hold ends when the bill is paid or cancelled, and a bill left open for more than 8 hours stops holding the table.

5. Bookings made at the till appear in Stolio

A reservation typed in at the till, up to 90 days ahead, appears in Stolio on the linked table, so your booking page does not offer that table at that time. Stolio sends these guests no e-mails.

6. Optional: copy your table layout

If your tables are already arranged on Dotykačka's table map, Stolio can copy their places, turns and shapes into the Stolio floor plan. You see a preview first, and you can undo it. Table names, seats and bookings are never changed.

What it does not do

The connection is about bookings and tables. It does not move menu items, orders or payments between Stolio and Dotykačka. Stolio does add each guest's name, without e-mail or phone, to your Dotykačka customers, so the reservation shows it.
