GloriaFood Is Shutting Down: Two Official Dates, How to Export Your Data and What to Check in a Replacement
2026-10-24 · Guides
Oracle is shutting down GloriaFood, the free online ordering system for restaurants. As of 24 October 2026, Oracle's own pages give two different end dates: GloriaFood's website and Oracle's GloriaFood FAQ say 30 April 2027, while Oracle's food and beverage page says 31 March 2027. New restaurants can no longer sign up directly. Our advice: plan for 31 March 2027, the earlier date. Export your clients list (with the marketing consent field) and all orders now, under Reports > List View in your GloriaFood admin. Oracle offers no direct replacement: GloriaFood's website mentions FoodAmigos, and every vendor below publishes a monthly fee, a fee per order, or both. Each fact was checked on 24 October 2026 on Oracle's and GloriaFood's own pages (including the GloriaFood help centre) and on each vendor's own pages; the main sources are linked.
Disclosure: this guide is published by Stolio, a table reservation system for restaurants. Stolio does not offer online ordering, so every ordering system listed below is another company's product. The list is not a ranking and contains no affiliate links.
The two official dates
In short: plan for 31 March 2027, the earlier of the two dates, and do not count on anything later.
| Source (checked 24 October 2026) | End date it gives | Other details |
|---|---|---|
| GloriaFood website (English, German and Italian pages) | 30 April 2027 (end of life) | Existing customers are supported until then; Oracle offers no direct replacement |
| Oracle's GloriaFood EOL FAQ, March 2026, version 1.0 | 30 April 2027 | Applies to every GloriaFood product, including the free plan; no extensions past that date |
| Oracle's food and beverage page | 31 March 2027 (full end of service) | New sign-ups are no longer accepted |
Neither page explains the one-month difference. Until Oracle corrects one of them, the safe assumption is that GloriaFood may stop working on 31 March 2027.
There is a second reason not to wait for 30 April. According to the FAQ, paid add-ons such as online payments end when your last renewal period runs out, not on the end-of-life date. Renewals are accepted only until one month before 30 April 2027; Oracle's own example is a 30-day add-on renewed on 3 March 2027, which ends on 3 April 2027. The free plan, the FAQ says, stays available until the end-of-life date.
Can you still sign up? Not directly. The FAQ says Oracle no longer signs new direct agreements with restaurants; until the end date, new restaurants can only be added through GloriaFood partners. The GloriaFood homepage now shows only log-in buttons.
What stops working
As of 24 October 2026, Oracle has published no schedule for individual parts of GloriaFood: both notices give a single date for everything. The FAQ says GloriaFood services will not be available after the end-of-life date, and in its answers for restaurants that use GloriaFood with Oracle Simphony or OPERA it spells this out: guests will no longer be able to place online orders on your website, on your Facebook page or through your branded app. In practice, list everything that runs on GloriaFood and replace it before 31 March 2027.
- The ordering button on your website. The code embedded in your site works only as long as the service does, so remove it once the new system is live.
- The Facebook "Start Order" button. It was set up under admin > Setup > Publishing > Facebook; point your page's action button to the new ordering page.
- Smart links on Google, Instagram and other profiles. These links put GloriaFood's ordering and reservation widgets on your Google Business Profile, Instagram, TikTok and similar profiles. Each one has to be replaced by hand.
- QR codes and printed material. Table tents, flyers and stickers that lead to a GloriaFood page need new codes.
- A website hosted by GloriaFood. The Sales Optimized Website runs on GloriaFood's hosting. If it uses your own domain, GloriaFood changed that domain's nameservers to connect it, so you will need new hosting and new DNS settings before the end date.
- The branded app. GloriaFood publishes branded apps in the App Store and Google Play under the restaurant's name. Ordering through the app ends with the service (see the FAQ above); the help centre does not say what happens to the store listings.
- The table reservation widget. GloriaFood's free plan includes a Table Reservations button for your website, so online bookings stop too, together with Order Ahead for reservations and per-guest reservation deposits if you used them.
- Online payments. GloriaFood's paid payments add-on (US$29 a month excluding taxes, according to its pricing page) connects your own merchant account, for example Stripe through a restricted key entered under admin > Setup > Payments > Providers, so the money never passes through GloriaFood. Oracle gives no instructions for payments at shutdown. Our suggestion, not Oracle's: once orders run elsewhere, cancel the add-on and delete the restricted key in your Stripe dashboard.
How to export your data from GloriaFood
Short answer: export now, and again on the day you switch. As of 24 October 2026 the GloriaFood help centre has no article about the shutdown or about exporting data because of it (its newest update is dated 6 November 2025), so the steps below come from its regular articles on reports.
- 1. Customers. In the Reports section of your GloriaFood admin, open List View and export the clients list. According to the help centre, it includes each client's name, email address, phone number, total spent, total orders and last order time.
- 2. Marketing consent. When you export clients or orders, add the marketing consent field. It shows which customers agreed to receive further messages from you.
- 3. Orders. In the same List View, "Export all orders" opens a page where you can filter by time, type, status and custom fields before you export.
- 4. Reports. The sales summary (PDF, CSV or Excel), the clients chart (PDF, PNG or CSV), table reservations (PNG, PDF or CSV) and promotion stats (CSV or XLS) can each be exported.
- 5. Menu. The help centre documents no menu export for restaurants. Your menu is under admin > Setup > Menu Setup > Menu setup: screenshot or copy the categories, items, sizes, options, prices and photos before you rebuild it. If someone technical can help, there is also Fetch Menu, an API documented on GitHub for third-party integrations: with a key generated in the admin, it returns the menu as JSON, including categories, items, sizes, option groups and prices (images are not mentioned). Some of the vendors below offer to move the menu for you.
- 6. Everything else. Screenshot your delivery zones and fees, opening hours, taxes, promotions and order settings so you can set them up again.
- 7. Check the files. Open every export, count the rows, spot-check emails and phone numbers, and keep a dated copy of the original files.
What happens to your data after the end date? Oracle's FAQ says that once your GloriaFood services expire, end or are cancelled, you can retrieve your data for 30 days; requests go through the chat in your restaurant account. GloriaFood's restaurant terms also give 30 days for retrieval, after which the remaining content is deleted. Treat that window as a safety net, not a plan.
Before you email your customers. The clients list is personal data. Email only the customers whose marketing consent you can show, and check your country's rules with your data protection adviser before any mailing.
What to check in a replacement
GloriaFood's core plan was free. Every vendor listed below charges for online ordering, with a monthly fee, a fee per order, or both; the one possible exception is Plateform's free plan, whose page does not make clear whether ordering is included. "Commission-free" also means different things: some vendors charge a percentage on orders paid online, others require their own payment processor. Ask every vendor the same questions and get the answers in writing.
| What to check | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Fee per order | Is there a commission or a percentage on orders, including orders paid online? |
| Card and payment fees | Who processes payments, at what rate, and can you keep your own payment account (such as Stripe)? |
| Your own website and widget | Is there a button for your existing website, a hosted ordering page or website, and can it run on your domain? |
| Data export | What do they import from GloriaFood (menu, customers, order history), and what can you export when you leave? |
| Delivery and couriers | Can you use your own drivers, and which courier services work in your country? |
| POS link | Does it connect to the till you already use? |
| Languages | Are the ordering page and the order emails available in your guests' languages? |
| Contract and setup | Minimum term, notice period, setup fee, and are prices quoted with or without VAT? |
Online ordering alternatives: what vendors publish (checked 24 October 2026)
The details below are what each vendor publishes on its own pages as of 24 October 2026, with the VAT basis the page states. The list is neither complete nor a ranking: FoodAmigos comes first because GloriaFood's website mentions it, followed by two vendors active in several countries and then vendors by country, in alphabetical order. Confirm every figure with the vendor before you sign.
FoodAmigos (mentioned by GloriaFood)
GloriaFood's website says Oracle offers no direct replacement but wants to make customers aware of FoodAmigos, a company based in Germany (FoodAmigos GmbH); Oracle's FAQ adds that Oracle cannot recommend specific providers. For GloriaFood restaurants, FoodAmigos lists US$35 per location per month, excluding VAT (US$25 from 20 live locations), 0% commission per order, no setup fee, a 30-day free trial for the first location from go-live, and a one-month term that renews monthly; it says the exact price is confirmed on a migration call. Its team moves your menu, website content and customer data; order history is not mentioned.
Its restaurant terms (version of 14 September 2026) include table reservations in the core plan and route online payments only through FoodAmigos' payment provider: you cannot connect your own processor, and we found no published processing rates. When you leave, you get a free export in CSV or JSON, including customers and order history, if you ask within 90 days. Delivery integrations listed: DoorDash Drive, Uber Direct, Grubhub Connect and FirstDelivery; its German delivery page also covers your own drivers. Add-ons: a branded app for US$19 and an AI website builder for US$29 per location a month, both excluding VAT. Sources: pricing, migration, terms, delivery.
DISH Order (Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic)
No commission, but 1.89% of gross revenue on orders that guests pay online, on top of the monthly fee. Germany: €49 a month on a 36-month term (€59 on 12 months, €64 on 3 months). Austria: €49 a month (the Austrian page states no term). Italy: €44 a month on 12 months (€49 on 6 months, €59 with no commitment). Czech Republic: 1,349 CZK a month. All prices exclude VAT, and new contracts pay a one-off setup fee, also excluding VAT: €299 in Germany, Austria and Italy, 6,799 CZK in the Czech Republic. Sources: Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic.
Flipdish (Ireland, UK, Spain, US)
Flipdish has a GloriaFood page and a blog post (22 April 2026) saying it migrates your menu, settings and customer data for free; the switch offer it mentions has no published price. Its Irish pricing page lists a bundle of POS and online ordering from €119 per site per month billed annually, or €139 billed monthly, excluding VAT; its global page shows €99 and €129 without stating the VAT basis. Transaction fees, setup fee and contract term are not published on its pricing pages. Delivery: an Uber Direct add-on, paid per delivery. Flipdish's website has country versions for Ireland, the UK, Spain and the US only. Sources: GloriaFood page, blog, Irish pricing, global pricing.
Germany and Austria
- gastronovi (Germany): the ordering module costs €69 a month or €690 a year, or €29 a month plus 5% of online revenue on its success tariff (with €99 setup per module on that tariff); it requires the gastronovi POS (€69 per licence a month). The page does not say whether prices include VAT. Monthly and success tariffs have a three-month minimum term, then one month's notice; restaurants in Austria and Switzerland are asked to use a contact form. Source: price list.
- order smart (app smart GmbH; its web shop comes with a .de or .at domain): web shop €119, web and app shop €229, web shop with POS €208 a month; the Order Manager terminal costs €299 once. Its terms state that all prices are net of VAT. The contract runs 24 months and renews by one year unless cancelled three months before it ends. Online payments run through the payment provider app smart has integrated; on top of that provider's transaction fees, each order paid online carries an admin fee of €0.70 for the first €10 of order value plus €0.35 for each further €5. The terms add that links for direct payment handling between a restaurant and a payment provider are no longer maintained or offered. Orders it brings in through its own marketing network cost 10% of the basket. Sources: prices, terms.
Italy
- Deliverart: Start €420 a year excluding VAT (your own riders, online shop included); Premium €700 a year excluding VAT (adds Just Eat and Deliveroo integration; Glovo is quoted separately). No commission on orders; the activation fee is quoted per deal. Source: prices.
- Plateform: mainly a reservation platform. Its Premium plan, shown from €65 a month excluding VAT (the same page also shows €59 a month), includes commission-free takeaway and delivery ordering, with card, PayPal or Satispay payments. Monthly or annual contract with automatic renewal, cancellable at any time with effect at the end of the billing period; no setup fee or courier integration is stated. The same price page also points to Plateform Free, with no monthly fee and no commission, for phone, web and Google bookings; its page does not make clear whether online ordering is included. Sources: prices, ordering, Plateform Free.
Czech Republic
- ChoiceQR: Basic costs 0 CZK a month plus 3% on delivery and takeaway orders (online payments only, at least 70 orders a month); Standard 990 CZK a month (891 CZK on 12 months, 792 CZK on 24 months) plus 3% on online payments; Smart 2,090 CZK and Pro 2,990 CZK at 0%, Pro with a POS link (Dotykačka, Storyous, Syrve). Prices exclude VAT. Card payments go through Adyen at a standard rate of 1.5% + 2.5 CZK unless agreed otherwise. Wolt Drive and FoodoraGo integrations; 14-day trial. Open-ended subscription with three months' notice (six with QR payment at the table). Sources: prices, terms, card fees.
- Speedlo: excluding VAT, Lite costs 2,000 CZK a month (online shop included), Standard 0 CZK with an online shop fee of 1.5–8%, and Profesional 3,000 CZK with 1.5–5%; every plan adds 1.5% on online payments. On Lite and Standard, the Dotykačka POS link costs 600 CZK and the driver app 1,000 CZK a month. No long-term commitment; Speedlo says the first orders can come within four weeks of signing. If you used GloriaFood for table reservations or your website
Stolio is our own product, so briefly and plainly. Stolio does not offer online ordering: guests cannot order food for pickup or delivery through it, so it does not replace GloriaFood's ordering, Order Ahead or reservation deposits. It can replace two other parts of GloriaFood: the table reservation widget from the free plan, and a hosted restaurant website.
- Table reservations. A booking page and a widget for your website. You can link the booking page from your Google profile, your Instagram bio or your Facebook page; each booking appears on a visual floor plan and in the reservation list, and the guest is emailed about it.
- Your restaurant website. Every plan includes a restaurant website at a stolio.cz/w/ address; on Pro + API (€61.90 a month, 1,550 CZK in the Czech Republic) we set it up on your own domain for you. A digital menu with a QR code, for viewing rather than ordering, comes with the Plus plan.
Standard costs €19.90 a month (499 CZK in the Czech Republic), with no commission per booking and no setup fee. There is no VAT on the invoice: Stolio is not VAT-registered, and outside the Czech Republic the reverse-charge rule may apply in your country. The dashboard and the booking page are available in Czech, English, German and Italian, and guest emails go out in Czech, German or Italian (the restaurant's language) plus English, or only in English for restaurants in other languages. Support is by email in Czech and English. More in Stolio in short and on the pricing page.
Questions owners ask
Which date is right, 31 March or 30 April 2027? Both come from Oracle-owned pages, and as of 24 October 2026 neither explains the difference. Plan for 31 March 2027.
Can GloriaFood be extended past the end date? No. Oracle's FAQ says extensions beyond the end-of-life date are not possible.
Is FoodAmigos Oracle's official successor? No. GloriaFood's website says Oracle offers no direct replacement and only makes customers aware of FoodAmigos; the FAQ says Oracle cannot recommend specific providers.
Is there a free GloriaFood alternative? Not one we could confirm. Every vendor in this guide publishes a monthly fee, a fee per order, or both for online ordering. In the Czech Republic, ChoiceQR Basic and Speedlo Standard have no monthly fee but charge a percentage instead; in Italy, Plateform has a free plan, but its page does not make clear whether online ordering is included.
Can I still get my data after the shutdown? For 30 days after your services end, according to Oracle's FAQ, through the chat in your restaurant account. Export before you switch rather than relying on that window.
Can Stolio take over my online orders? No. Stolio does not take online orders. It covers table reservations, the restaurant website and, on the Plus plan, a QR menu.
The plan, in order
- This week: export the clients list with marketing consent, all orders and the reports; screenshot the menu, delivery zones and settings.
- Before you choose: put the questions from the table above to two or three vendors, and get prices, fees and the VAT basis in writing.
- On the day you switch: replace the button on your website, the Facebook button, the links on your Google Business Profile and Instagram, and the QR codes; then export your data once more.
- After the switch: cancel GloriaFood's paid add-ons (for online ordering add-ons the FAQ points to self-service cancellation in the admin panel, with access until the next renewal date) and remove the GloriaFood key from your payment provider.
- By 31 March 2027 at the latest: everything runs on the new systems. Oracle's 30-day retrieval window is a safety net, not part of the plan.
Whichever vendor you choose, ask the question this shutdown raises: if this one closed tomorrow, could I take my customers, orders and menu out in ten minutes? If you also need table reservations or a restaurant website, you can start the 14-day free trial — no credit card required.
